As the summer vacations end and children in the US eagerly return to the rhythm of school life, we take this moment to share the remarkable strides the organization has made, all thanks to your unwavering support.

Our dental clinic hums with life, fueled by the dedication of two skilled dentists who passionately provide care five days a week. We recently welcomed a young woman whose dental health was in dire straits. Her damaged teeth had cast a shadow over her smile, leaving her feeling self-conscious. After a series of transformative visits, we were overjoyed to witness her radiant transformation—her pain vanished, and her once-hidden smile now sparkles with newfound confidence.

The water filter program is flourishing, and your generous contributions make it possible. Every visit to families struggling to provide for themselves is filled with emotional moments as we witness the sheer delight on children's faces when they sip clean water from their own cups for the very first time. Their parents express heartfelt gratitude, knowing that this simple yet profound gift not only quenches their thirst but also brings tangible health and economic benefits.

Twenty girls at the People of Peru Project Youth Services House (POPPYS house) are blossoming as well. Many arrive with stories that are too painful to recount, but through your kindness, they find hope and healing in this nurturing environment.
The girls in our post-high school program are thriving, and it is gratifying to connect them with those who have graduated and witness their journeys as independent professionals. Thanks to your support, the People of Peru Project proudly boasts graduates who are now doctors, lawyers, psychologists, nurses, engineers, and accountants. We couldn't have achieved this without you.
We are thrilled to announce some transformative news!

The construction of our surgery center is now 75% complete, and we have a remarkable chance to propel our efforts forward in the coming weeks.
The Ayers Family Foundation has extended a generous matching offer of $75,000, a testament to their long-standing commitment to our work in Peru. They are prepared to match any donations specifically earmarked for this project until November 17, amplifying your contribution and making an even greater impact. Now we face two specific challenges, but you, our supporters, have risen to the occasion over the last twenty-five years.
First, we want to take advantage of the generous offer from the Ayers Family Foundation. This would provide $150,000 toward the $200,000 we need for the 3rd and final structure of the surgery center. This fully funded matching program will take us to the last phase of the surgery center construction, meaning that the home stretch is in sight.
The second challenge we face is significant. The programs of the People of Peru Project (POPP) have expanded, and we are now serving more people than ever before. Currently, POPPY’s house is at capacity, and our water filter program has reached its monthly limit. Additionally, the costs of food, building materials, and utilities have increased, while the value of the US dollar has weakened compared to previous years. In simple terms, our operating budget for supporting this work requires additional funding.
For 25 years, the People of Peru Project has relied on the generous donations of our supporters; now, we need additional help.
If you are a regular supporter or contribute to special projects on occasion, thank you very much. For those who view these pressing needs as an opportunity to make a positive impact on lives, now is a crucial time to contribute.
We need a dedicated group of people willing to give monthly to help us sustain the incredible programs already in place. Consistent monthly contributions could be transformative for our organization, allowing us to focus on special projects as additional needs arise.
God has given us the ability to change lives, and we are blessed to view these challenges as opportunities. A sacrificial gift today will pay dividends for eternity.
