A Visit from a Friend

And a New Roof...

Last week, we posted this video on our Facebook page. As many of you know, we've had some issues with our roofing at the Iquitos campus over the last few years. We've been working diligently to repair, support, or replace failing aspects of the roof.

Enter, Robin Fowler.

Robin has been a major friend and supporter of ours for several years now. She has visited Iquitos, spent time with our girls at POPPYS House, and seen first-hand our work in Peru. She is also a hoot to spend time with! Every time we see her, it's a joy. She is so compassionate, caring, and funny. She never fails to brighten things. That's why we've decided to highlight the incredible generosity of her support for us. She's helped with the roof repairs, allowing us to get some high-quality supplies to ensure that we don't see the same issues with the roof we've had before.

Robin is an incredible example of the many supporters and volunteers we've had over the years who continue to make their mark on the organization. That is the joy of non-profit work: there is always someone with a story behind the donations. And we appreciate every single one.

After her recent visit to us, where she saw the progress on the hospital and spent time with the girls at POPPYS, we pieced together some of the footage of her time in Iquitos.

The video below is our interview with Robin--and as you can see, she's an amazing person to spend time with!

Thank you, Robin, for your support.

If you have any videos or photos from your time visiting us, don't hesitate to send them our way. We love hearing from volunteers and donors whose lives were impacted by their time in Iquitos.
