February Updates

Writer: Paul OppPaul Opp

What we've been up to in February...

We've had another busy month in Iquitos!

We were lucky to welcome the Doctor Earling Oksenholt Group for the third time!

Not only does this group help us provide medical care and wellness services for the community, but they are also amazing people! They were able to help us see over two hundred patients in one day! We are so blessed to have such amazing volunteers.

They also got a chance to visit the Hospital and see the construction progress. We can't wait for them to come back when the Hospital is complete!

In other news, we raised $1,000 for a new refrigerator installation at POPPYS House in two days! Our girls will be well taken care of with a brand-new fridge, and we can keep it cooler in the House! We also fully funded a second POPPYS fundraiser to buy our girls new bikes!

We are so grateful for all the love and generosity you show our girls.

As always, the work keeps chugging along with the Hospital. Construction is going smoothly, cement is flowing....but we need more! You'll see this request many times over the next few months, but your help in purchasing cement is indispensable. If you want to donate to the Cement Fund and follow updates on our DonorSee, you can click the link here.

We are still in need of a Cat Cam. This is a specialty tool that will make our dental clinic work more expedient, and more effective. This is a compact handheld camera that can create detailed images on a computer in just minutes. These images are then used to create molds for crowns and bridges.

Benji and the Dental team work non-stop to help provide the best dental care possible to the people who visit our clinic. This Cat Cam fund will allow us to set an even higher standard of care.

We've also been working hard with our Water Filter distribution. The great thing about this program is that it's scalable. Each donation of $50 means one water filter installed. They last for five years (at least), are portable, and can serve a whole family. We've raised over $5,000 on our DonorSee fund already. That's a hundred more families we can serve.

Thank you all for taking the time to read our newsletter. Your support and engagement mean the world to us!

We continue to do the work, but it is your support that keeps the work going! Please consider making a donation. Your contributions will help us enhance our programs and reach even more people in our community.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
